  28.   I'd suggest creating a contiguous file the size of the CD on the VMS system,
  29. mounting it as a virtual disk (using Glenn Everhart's driver), then copying
  30. the file down to the PC and telling your CD recording software to burn a CD
  31. using that file as an image. The Golden Hawk (http://www.goldenhawk.com) CD
  32. software can do this, for example.

  34.   That will give you a regular ODS-2 CD you can mount on a VMS system.

  36.   Newer VMS versions can mount ISO CD's, so if you wanted to skip the virtual
  37. disk stuff on the VMS system, you could just store the files in a form that
  38. preserves the file attributes when the file is extracted - Kermit, as Frank
  39. mentioned, BACKUP savesets (if you fiddle the record size), .ZIP files, .TLB
  40. files, etc. But you lose direct access to the files without first extracting
  41. them.
